All Lure Modules in Pokemon GO, Explained

First off, it’s important to note that there are four different types of Lure Modules in Pokemon GO. There’s the original which is just called Lure Module, then there’s the Glacial Lure Module, Magnetic Lure Module, Mossy Lure Module, and Rainy Lure Module. Besides attracting Pokemon, some of these items are required for evolving certain creatures. Here’s a breakdown of each type.

Lure Module

This is the original item. Just tap on a PokeStop and attach a Lure Module to get the fun started. Pokemon will start swarming to the Stop for 30 minutes (this is true for all Lure Modules). These items don’t attract specific Pokemon unless otherwise mentioned for a special event.

Glacial Lure Module

This is the Ice-type Lure Module. It will attract Ice and Water Pokemon. If you’re within range of PokeStop which has one of these attached, you’ll be able to evolve Eevee into Glaceon. Down below is a list of all the Pokemon you can possibly encounter when using a Glacial Lure Module.

Magnetic Lure Module

This Lure Module can be used to attract Electric and Steel Pokemon. You must be within range of a PokeStop with this attached in order to evolve Magneton in Magnezone or Nosepass into Probopass. Here is a list of the ‘mons you can find when using a Magnetic Lure Module.

Mossy Lure Module

This Lure can be used to attract Grass and Bug Pokemon. It’s also required for turning Eevee into its Grass-type evolution, Leafeon. Here is the list of Pokemon that can be encountered near PokeStops with the Mossy Lure Module attached.

Rainy Lure Module

Finally, we have made it to the newest of the group, the Rainy Lure Module. If you’re within range of a PokeStop that has this attached, Sliggoo will be able to evolve into its final form, Goodra. Here’s the list of Water, Bug, and Electric Pokemon that are attracted to these Lures.
